Dear Antonia,
Today I write to you with my heart still full of emotion after visiting the museum that tells the story of your life and your art. As I walked among your works, I felt a gentle, almost whispered voice speaking of you — your thoughts, your dreams.
I was struck by the delicacy with which you painted the world, but even more deeply moved by your personal story — one of love, waiting, and words written. More than a thousand letters… I paused to imagine what it must have felt like to receive them, one after another, each one filled with emotion. It is a love that endures time, distance, and silence.
Through your art and those letters, I realised how powerful words can be, how they can touch the heart even after so many years. Your story made me feel how precious deep bonds are — those that speak through colours, glances, and writing.
Thank you for leaving us all this. In that museum, for a moment, it felt as if I truly came to know you.
With affection,
Elisa Sedile
