Opening hours, ticket & information

What are the Fiermonte Museum’s opening hours?

The exhibition rooms of the Fiermonte Museum are open from 1 January to 10 January and from 22 March to 31 December. We recommend checking the CiaoTickets page or the museum’s Google profile to stay updated on any extraordinary openings or closures.

To arrange an individual or group guided tour (more than 6 people, up to a maximum of 15 per tour), or to visit the museum outside opening hours, please write to arts@fiermontemuseum.com.

Can tickets be purchased online?

Can guided visits be arranged?

Yes. Guided tours of the museum and temporary exhibitions can be booked with at least two working days’ notice. Each tour includes an introduction to the history of La Fiermontina Family Collection.

Is the museum accessible for visitors with disabilities?

Access for visitors with mobility difficulties is provided by a ramp leading to the garden. Due to the nature of the historic building, some wheelchairs may find it difficult to access rooms 4, 5 and 6, which have arched doors narrower than 80 cm. The final projection room is accessible only by stairs.

At present, no support is provided for visitors with sensory disabilities. A project is underway, in collaboration with local associations, to enhance accessibility by 2027 with audioguides, tactile routes and sensory tools.

Is there a cloakroom or luggage storage?

Yes. Visitors may leave their luggage or personal belongings at the museum cloakroom, located at the ticket office.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, with conditions:

  • • pets must be carefully supervised and kept away from artworks
  • • the garden must not be used for purposes other than allowed
  • • small to medium-sized pets only
  • • accustomed to being around other animals
  • • on a lead and close to the owner
  • • must not disturb other visitors

How can I reach the museum?

The Fiermonte Museum is located at Vico dei Raynò 4, in Lecce’s historic centre. Just a few steps from the museum are the other La Fiermontina Family Collection properties in Lecce: La Fiermontina Luxury Home (30 metres away) and La Fiermontina Palazzo Bozzi Corso (5 minutes on foot).

If arriving by train (Lecce Railway Station):

  • • Exit toward the main avenue and follow the street leading to the city centre, following the signs for the historic centre.
  • • Walk straight along the main street until you enter the old town.
  • • Once inside, head towards Porta Napoli. With Porta Napoli in front of you, turn left and follow Via delle Bombarde. At the third left turn, you will see a votive shrine dedicated to the Madonna on the corner; walk a few more steps and you will reach the Fiermonte Museum.


If arriving by car from Brindisi Papola Casale Airport:

  • • Take the Brindisi–Lecce motorway towards Viale Porta d’Europa/SS16. Take Viale Michele de Pietro towards Via de Summa.
  • • At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit (Superstrada Brindisi–Lecce / Viale Porta d’Europa / SS1).
  • • Slight left towards Piazza del Bastione.
  • • Slight right onto Piazza del Bastione.
  • • Continue along Viale Michele de Pietro.
  • • Turn right into Via Fornello Casale.
  • • Continue onto Piazzetta dei Peruzzi.
  • • Continue onto Via de Summa.
  • • You have arrived at the Fiermonte Museum!

Collections

Which artists are exhibited in the museum?

The permanent collection of the Fiermonte Museum features works by Jacques Zwobada, René Letourneur and Antonia Fiermonte.
Temporary exhibitions of local and international artists are periodically hosted in the museum rooms.

Which works are part of the permanent collection?

The permanent collection includes a selection of sculptures, paintings and drawings by the three artists.

Which temporary exhibitions are currently running?

The Fiermonte Museum has hosted a selection of works by contemporary sculptor Rolf Frischherz. The exhibition, titled WHAT ABOUT LOVE? and curated by Marta Siciliano, opened on 3 May and concluded on 17 August 2025, attracting both national and international visitors.

Is a special ticket required for temporary exhibitions?

Temporary exhibitions are integrated into the rooms displaying the permanent collection, so the ticket covers both:

  • • € 10.00 full ticket – permanent collection
  • • € 12.00 full ticket – permanent + temporary exhibition
  • • € 7.00 reduced ticket – permanent collection
  • • € 9.00 reduced ticket – permanent + temporary exhibition

Are any events free or open to the public?

All events listed in the Agenda section of the museum website are open to the public. Many are free; others—such as workshops—may require payment. For full details, check the Agenda page or email arts@fiermontemuseum.com.

Is it possible to organise private events at the museum?

Yes. The Fiermonte Museum can host private events in its rooms and garden. Civil wedding ceremonies can also be held here, as the venue is designated as a municipal house. For information, write to events@lafiermontinacollection.com.

Check-in & check-out

What are the check-in and check-out times?

Check-in is available from 15:30, and check-out is at 11:00. Early check-in or late check-out may be requested through our Booking Office before arrival (booking@lafiermontinacollection.com) or via the Front Office upon arrival.

How does check-in take place?

Guests may arrive at the entrance by car or on foot. A Guest Ambassador will welcome them, collect their luggage and, if necessary, park their car. Check-in procedures may take place in the museum garden or indoors in case of bad weather. Our check-in is designed as a warm, personal welcome—like arriving at a friend’s home.

Can I request early check-in?

Yes, by contacting the Booking Office or the Front Office.

Can I request late check-out?

Yes, by contacting the Booking Office or the Front Office.

What are the reception opening hours?

Reception is open from 7:30 to 21:00. Outside these hours, a colleague is available throughout the night at La Fiermontina Luxury Home (30 metres away). You may contact them via the in-room landline or via mobile/WhatsApp at +39 346 092 9680.

Which languages does the reception staff speak?

All Front Office Agents & Guest Ambassadors speak Italian and English fluently. Some also speak French, Spanish and Portuguese.

Is parking available?

Yes. There is a private, complimentary car park for guests, located a few metres from the main entrance within La Fiermontina Luxury Home. A driver is available to park or retrieve your car, though you may also park independently.
Electric charging stations are available.

Is there a lift?

Yes. A lift provides access to both the guest room floors and the exhibition rooms.

What accessibility features does the hotel offer?

A lift is available for guests who cannot use the stairs.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. Guests may connect to the GUESTS network.

Are pets allowed?

Guests travelling with pets may stay at La Fiermontina Luxury Home, where animals are welcomed.

Is luggage storage available?

Yes. Guests may temporarily leave their luggage before check-in, after check-out, or while visiting the city.

Is a shuttle service available?

Yes, through a partner driver offering transfers to/from Brindisi and Bari airports, Lecce station, beaches and other destinations.

Rooms

What amenities do the rooms offer?

All rooms include room service on request, air conditioning, flat-screen TV, kettle and coffee machine with Lavazza kit, a selection of teas and herbal infusions, amenities and towels.
All rooms are non-smoking.
Some rooms have a small balcony; the Suite Marbre has a private terrace with a hot tub.

Are cots or children’s beds available?

The four suites accommodate children aged 8 and above.
Some rooms can host a third guest with an extra bed.

Do you have accessible rooms?

All rooms can be reached by lift and feature walk-in showers.
Guests requiring specific accessibility features are advised to stay at La Fiermontina Luxury Home, which offers an accessible room.

Yes. Breakfast includes an à la carte menu and a generous buffet.

Every day from 7:30 to 10:30.

Is there a wellness centre?

Guests may enjoy the Relaxarium at La Fiermontina Palazzo Bozzi Corso (5 minutes on foot).
It features a stone hot tub, body and facial treatments, massages, and relaxation activities such as yoga and meditation.

What are the wellness centre’s opening hours?

Open daily from morning to late afternoon.

Is a spa kit provided?

Yes: towels, slippers, body products and everything needed for a relaxing experience.

Is there a swimming pool?

Guests staying in the Suite Marbre have access to a private terrace with a hot tub.
All guests may use the large swimming pool among centuries-old olive trees at La Fiermontina Luxury Home (30 metres away).

What are the pool opening hours?

Every day, from morning to late afternoon.

Are pool towels provided?

Yes. The pool area offers sun loungers, towels and outdoor showers.
